Greenway Giants Baseball Club are proud to have 6 of our club players in the Ryde North Little League team:

The boys will be playing in the NSW State Little League Champions at Milton in Campbelltown this Easter Monday April 21st through to Thursday 24th April. During the 4 day tournament they will be playing 6 games that if successful will secure the team a place at the National Little League Championships in Queensland. After many hours of training, loads of dedication and the support of their families the Greenway community wish the boys and Ryde North the best of luck in the tournament.
Greenway Giants Award Recipients
President’s Award Junior - Isaac Stevens
Isaac joined Greenway baseball at the age of 5 years, he has developed through the seasons with determination, accountability, and resilience to become part of the NSW U18 baseball team as a pitcher. Along the way he has represented Greenway proudly at both club and Ryde association levels, he has developed a wonderful brand at a personal and baseball level. Isaac has spent time umpiring and recently coaching our Greenway junior teams which has been both inspirational to the young players and a great support to our club.
President's Award Senior - Laura Neads
Laura has played in Greenway A grade Women’s Baseball Team for the last 8 years. In 2012, she was named Australian Women’s Baseballer of the Year, having won the Women’s League batting award with a slugging % of .980, an on base % of .714 and a batting average of .680; PLUS she won the league pitching award pitching 16.67 innings over 7 games. Not surprisingly given these statistics, she was named the NSWWBL 1st grade Most Valuable Player for 2013/2014 season
Club Person of the Year Award - Peter Thompson
Peter has been involved in the club for over 20 years, as a player from A grade through to currently playing in E grade as well as actively participating in the club in administration positions, umpiring official, coaching and mentoring along with many hours support in work on Greenways diamonds and grounds.
Steve Dalgairn’s Award - Peter Neads
Peter has been head coach of the women’s Major League 1st division as well as Women’s Baseball Coordinator for the past 5 years at Greenway. During this time Peter has been a mentor and promoter of women’s baseball along with developing career paths for women in baseball. His dedication and support to women’s baseball over this time has been second to none.
