Instructions on how to Register for Baseball

Baseball Australia has introduced a compulsory online registration system in order to register players, coaches, managers and volunteers via one central platform in the same way many other codes are doing it across Australia.

In order to register a player you are required to access the club’s online registration form, setup a user account and then register the player.

The registration system consists of the following steps:

  1. Create an account (with Baseball Australia)
  2. Adding Basic Details (Player information)
  3. Select your registration product
  4. Just a few more details
  5. Please nominate any team/league preferences (friend/siblings) in the space provided
  6. Summary
  7. Payment
  8. Confirmation

The online registration form DOES NOT work in Internet Explorer or Safari.

We have successfully tested the form in Google Chrome Browser.

  • The link above points at the Greenway Giants Baseball Club Online Registration Form.
  • The club player fees are determined based on the age of the player.
  • As in prior years, there are 3 components to annual registration fees:
    • 2017/18 National League Fee (Baseball Australia) including a compulsory player insurance premium
    • 2017/18 BNSW League Fee (Baseball NSW)
    • 2017/18 Greenway Giants Club Fee
  • We recommend that you register one player at a time.
  • We recommend that you close your browser (and clear your cache or alternatively run the form in an incognito session) after you register a player.

Note: that registration is not complete unless online payment has been made. Payment can be made using Paypal or credit card (Amex and Diners club are NOT accepted).
The club can no longer accept direct payments of registration fees.

Working Bee

With the new season about to start, we are holding our annual club working bee on Sunday the 10th of September from 8am until 1pm at Greenway Park.

The idea is to do some basic housekeeping around the diamonds so that they are in good shape for the new season.

We would love to have at least 1 member from each family, come down and help out, even if you can only spare an hour or so. We have a good group of dedicated volunteers who come down each year to help, but it would be great to see some new faces so we can share the workload around.

Some of the items we require people to bring on the day.

  • Shovels
  • Metal Rakes
  • Brooms
  • Blowers
  • Pliers

You wont go unrewarded for all your hard work we will be providing a sausage sizzle and refreshments for all our hard working volunteers.

Seniors Presentation Night

This is coming up fast if you havent RSVP’d and paid please hurry as time is running out

For full details and how to reserve your spot and pay please click here.

Training Requests

As teams are coming through and being formed please feel free to email your requests for training allocations to schedule@greenwaygiants.org.au. Though please remember these are only requests until they are confirmed by the Grounds Scheduler.

All requests will be considered and we will try to accommodate them as best as possible. However we only have “X” number of diamonds and timeslots trying to fit in “Y” number of teams.

A changing of the Guard

We would like to let everyone know we have had our AGM and our new committee has been formed. There has been some comings and goings this year and you will find an updated list on our Committee Page. Most notable is the change in Club President Mark Pellow, he has finished his tenure and Joe Nati has now stepped up to the challenge of leading this great club.

Please help us in thanking Mark (and of course Leeanne) for all that they have done to grow and develop the club over the past 3 years. We are sure it has been quite challenging at times, although now you can sit back and see it was all worthwhile, especially when it all culminated in us winning the Prestigious Club of the Year Award from the RHBL.

Thank you again and we will see you around the diamonds.

As for our new President, Joe Nati (a man we are sure needs no introduction) he assures us he is up for the challenge, and we cannot wait to see where he takes the club next.

A Grade Premiers

Congratulations to our A Grade team on being Premiers, after a hard fought season against arch rivals Winston Hills.

After just giving up the minor premiership to them a week ago, our boys came out strong and blew them of the park and never looked like letting them get in the game.

9 innings played, 12-3 scoreline, 0 walks issued, a home run, and obviously plenty of runs and rbi’s shared between the team
