Volunteers at WorkOur club would simply not exist without a healthy spirit of volunteering. Coaches, Managers, Scorers, and Umpires give their time to see that players get to experience all that Baseball and Softball offers.

There are also many vital administrative positions which are necessary to run the club effectively. Should you have an interest in one of the positions below, or have some questions related to to a particular position description, please feel free to contact Joff Stevens.

Grounds Manager

General Committee

The Grounds Manager oversees the preparation and maintenance of Greenway Park grounds and facilities including the batting tunnels. The role coordinates the activities of the ground committee in terms of grounds maintenance, ground set up and ground closing for scheduled games and tournaments held at Greenway Park.

Photo Coordinator - Baseball

General Committee

Gina Tap, who has been the Club's Photo Coordinator for Baseball as well as the Club Trophy Coordinator, is stepping down from these roles at the end of March 2010. We are therefore looking for a person or persons who can assume these roles for the next two to three years.

The Photo Coordinator for Baseball manages overall engagement of a photographer with the Club for a particular season, as well as the development and coordination of the running order for the annual Photo Day. The role involves liaison with the Photo Coordinator for Softball, as well as with Photographers, sports Coordinators and team Managers.

Photo Coordinator - Softball

While the Photo Coordinator for Baseball manages overall engagement of a photographer with the Club for a particular season, the Photo Coordinator for Softball oversees the coordination and execution of the annual Softball Photo Day. The role involves liaison with the Photo Coordinator for Baseball, as well as with Photographers, sports Coordinators and team Managers.

Trophy Coordinator

The Trophy Coordinator manages the overall engagement of a provider of trophies and medallions with the Club for a particular season, as well as assisting the President and other members of the Executive with the development and coordination of the annual Junior Presentation Day. The role involves liaison with providers of trophies and medallions, sports Coordinators and team Managers.

Social Event and Fundraising Coordinator

The Social Event and Fundraising Coordinator oversees the planning and execution of social events throughout the summer season. These events underpin one of the club’s key strategic objectives, namely to build upon the sense of community across what is a very diverse, separately managed and geographically spread group of teams. By recruiting and then being assisted by a group of other parents, these social events will provide another dimension to the relationship that our members have with the club – a dimension based on fun and belonging. This role is also responsible for the development and execution of fundraising initiatives throughout the summer season, which it is hoped will net the club $5,000 to support other key growth initiatives.
