Congratulations Ryde North - NSW Little League Champions

Following on from Greenway junior Jordan Rovira's successful campaign with the U15 NSW Women's Baseball team in Canberra in recent times (NSW were crowned the national champions), five Greenway juniors recently took part in the NSW Little League Championships - Mitchell Baker, Zach Hayward, Zach McLeod, Jo Stevens and Josh Wilde (see photo below).

We are pleased to report that the Ryde North Team performed superbly throughout the tournament, and were crowned the NSW Champions after defeating the very strong Manly side in the tournament decider. For more information, click here

All of the the Greenway boys represented their club with distinction, and will now join their Ryde North team mates at the Australian Little League Championships on the Gold Coast from May 24th-27th.

Well done to Ryde North, and to our five boys!

Also a hearty well done to Jordan and her NSW U15 Womens Coach, Vicki Galea.

P.S. As there is no BNSW or ABF subsidisation of air fares or accomodation for the national LL tournament, each of the five boys has been asked to raise a $1000 to cover their travel and accomodation while they are away. If you would like to assist by buying a raffle ticket or two ($10 each) or attending a fundraising dinner to be held this Thursday night (17th May), please contact Alex McLeod ASAP.

Before Josh Hamilton did it last week, only 15 players in the history of MLB had hit 4 HRs in a single game. Oh, and by the way, his other hit in the game was a double. Hitting for 18 bases in a single game? Not a bad day's work... Enjoy!
